My wife has a fixation about puffins, I am captivated by otters, and I am always amazed by the ability of so many seabirds to survive, yet alone travel vast distances. It is hardly surprising that I am drawn to take photos of wildlife around the coast.
Chough calling
Pair of Guillimots
Gannets greeting each other
Otter with a plaice
Puffin landing
Puffin taking off
Arctic tern
Cruising otter off Jura
Diving gannett
Redshanks and mud.
Otter eating. I feel as though I am on first name terms with this animal, I have watched him so much. He lives in Jura which is a bit of a trek.
Otter resting. He had caught a fish, eaten it, dried himself off on the seaweed and then decided to do a bit of sunbathing.

Whilst puffins are getting up the momentum to take to the air from water they have to run along the water surface. I have been trying to get this shot for years, and thanks to the boatmanship of Thousand Island Expeditions from St Davids I was able to get this picture off Skomer in the summer of 2017.
